Contemporary Bird Fine Art Painting, “RAVEN TOTEM 3, LAPIS LAZULI” by Colorado Artist Nancee Jean Busse, Painter of the American West

Ravens hold a special place in my heart. I love to paint them, both realistically and interpretively. This painting is the third in a series of raven "totems:" interpretations of ravens as spirit guides. This one is vibrant and full of joy and mischief. I painted her in rich blues and violets with bright accents.

Wildlife Bird Art Painting "Feathered Rubies" by Mary Arneson Art-Works of Whimsy

Cardinals are one of those beautiful creatures that you never forget...no matter your age when you first see one.  I was blessed to have grown up with them around me.  After many years living in areas where there were no Cardinals, I once again am living among them.  The are truly jewels of our forest!!
