Racer, a Zebra Portrait by Sandra Reeves Cutrer

"Racer", a zebra portrait in oils on a stretched wrapped canvas. I took my reference photos with a large digital camera I had recently purchased. While I was trying to zoom in and play with all the newest buttons on it, this zebra was either tired of how long it was taking me to snap his photo, or he was wanting to check my new camera out for himself!

Wild and Free by Wildlife Artist Sandra Reeves Cutrer

"Wild and Free" is a close-up portrait of one of the world's most magnificent cats. So big,so smart, and so beautiful! The eyes of an animal always capture my attention first, so I try to give them my fullest attention when painting them, after that , it seems that everything else just comes together.

Cinnamon and Sugar by Sandra Cutrer

"Cinnamon and Sugar", two inquisitive giraffes that I have painted in oils on a stretched, gallery wrapped (all sides painted a dark hue) canvas, size 8" x16". Giraffes are one of my favorite animals to view, photograph, and watch! I am envious of their long necks, and graceful movements. If you are interested in purchasing this piece, or any of my other works, please visit my personal blog at srcartavenue.blogspot.com or contact me at:sandrasart777@aol.com. I love taking commissions!

Methai and Baylor, Asian Elephants by Wildlife Artist Sandra Reeves Cutrer

Mama Methai brings her adorable son,Baylor, near their pond for a cool drink and splash during the heat of the day.Tucker seemed rather timid in front of the camera, but I knew he could be rowdy, since earlier reports revealed he is full of mischief and frolics most of his day with the other young Asian elephants living in his herd. Still, it was a sweet moment to be able to capture, as elephants are so family oriented and very protective of one another.
Thanks for reading my blog and looking at my work. For prices and more of my pieces, please visit my personal blog at: sandracutrer.com or contact me at: sandrasart777@aol.com for questions about Methai and Baylor or commissions.

Nebit, a leopard painting by Wildlife Artist Sandra Reeves Cutrer

"Nebit" means leopard in the Egyptian language. This beautiful animal captured my heart. I could hardly help but give his vibrant and expressive eyes my devout attention. Working extra hard, I also tried to bring out the details of his gorgeous spotted coat. Such an array of colors helps keep these great animals camouflaged in their habitat, becoming prey to a few animals while in the wild, but mostly to man.
Thank you for looking at my work. Please visit me at sracartavenue.blogspot.com to see more of my paintings, for questions or prices regarding my work,or comments.Or you may contact me at:  sandrasart777@aol.com.
